Champaign County History Museum: Dorothy Schroeder and the All-American Girls’ Professional Baseball League (Champaign, IL, USA) July – December, 2025
The IWBC is teaming up with Old Fort Baseball Co. in launching the Support Women’s Baseball campaign. From the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League to today’s rising stars, women have always had a place in the game. It’s time more people knew it. A portion of proceeds from every shirt sold goes directly to the IWBC and our mission to preserve the history and advance the future of women’s baseball. Come celebrate the launch of the new issue of Lost Diamonds, Thursday 11/13 from 6-9 p.m. at @standingsnyc (43 E. 7th Street)! Issue 4 covers the years from 1954-1974, including everything from Little League ending its ban on AFAB kids to Title IX, which could have changed baseball culture forever but…didn’t. Ever wonder why? It’s all in here. I’ll also have some Lost Diamonds baseball cards for sale!

The draft will consist of 6 rounds, with 20 picks per round – 5 per team – for up to 120 players drafted.
We’ll be using a snake-style format, meaning teams that pick first on one turn will pick last on the next turn.
The draft order will be determined by a random draw. More information at WPBL.

Effa Manley manages the Newark Eagles, a team she wants to take all the way to the Negro League World Series. Effa battles the press, coaching staff, segregation, and sometimes herself to win at the business of the game she loves most of all. She doesn’t worry about what it will cost her, even if it’s everything. Effa Loves Baseball is about the first woman inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame.

We are proud to be hosting the 11th annual BFA Nationals, the largest girls’ baseball tournament in the United States, in Rockford, IL: home of the Rockford Peaches and the All-American Girls’ Professional Baseball League.
All players and coaches will also get the extraordinary opportunity to watch the WBSC Women’s Baseball World Cup Qualifiers, hosted by the International Women’s Baseball Conference, which will also be held in Rockford, IL during the same week. For updates, stay tuned to BFA Nationals.
The WBSC Women’s Baseball World Cup is an international tournament for women’s national baseball teams, sanctioned by the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC). The 2026 group stage will be hosted right here in Rockford, Illinois, by the IWBC. Stay tuned to iwbc.org/worldcup/ for updates on schedules, hotels, and tickets.
