Old Fort Baseball Co. Support Women’s Baseball Campaign (Online) Fall, 2026
The IWBC is teaming up with Old Fort Baseball Co. in launching the Support Women’s Baseball campaign. From the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League to today’s rising stars, women have always had a place in the game. It’s time more people knew it. Women’s Baseball Heritage Workshop: WPBL Reading List on WorldCat.org (Online) Fall, 2026
This list highlights non-fiction works related to origins, personalities, and general women’s sports landscape associated with the Women’s Pro Baseball League, launched in Springfield, Illinois in August 2026. List creator Ryan Woodward is a member of the Society for American Baseball Research and the International Women’s Baseball Center.

More Than A Game: A Community History of Baseball & Softball presented by Beer Nuts Brand Snacks & the Shirk Family explores 150 years of history.
Changes in racial and gender equality, leisure time, and technology played out on local diamonds across the country. McLean County is no exception.
Admission to the exhibit is included with general museum admission. The McLean County Museum of History is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. On Tuesdays, admission is FREE and we’re open late until 8 p.m. On Saturdays, we offer free admission during the Downtown Bloomington Farmers Market until Noon. Charlotee Museum of History: ¡Pleibol! In the Barrios and the Big Leagues (Charlotte, NC, USA) July 18, 2026 – October 18, 2026
Developed in collaboration with the National Museum of American History, the ¡Pleibol! exhibit examines how generations of Latinos/as have helped make the game what it is today. From youth and community teams to the Major League, the exhibition reveals how baseball brings people together regardless of race, class, or gender. Manzanar Baseball Project: Grand Opening Doubleheader (Manzanar National Historic Site, CA, USA & Online) October 17, 2026
Under the creative leadership of Project Director Dan Kwong, the Manzanar Baseball Project stages historically inspired exhibition games on the restored field, with vintage equipment and custom 1940s uniforms. These games are not reenactments. They are immersive, site-specific performances that honor a legacy of endurance and cultural pride. MLB Breakthrough Series: Girls Baseball (Vero Beach, FL, USA) November 6 – 7, 2026
The Girls Baseball Breakthrough Series is a joint effort on behalf of USA Baseball (USAB) and Major League Baseball. This unique program focuses on developing the players, on and off the field, by providing elite instruction, competitive play, video coverage, seminars and mentorship, all while exposing players to U.S. National Team scouts and collegiate recruiters. The event is cost-free for participants, with USAB covering expenses.
Participants will also have the opportunity to hear from and interact with some of the highest-ranking and most-experienced women throughout Baseball, as well as receive instruction from a coaching staff consisting of current and former members of the U.S. Women’s National Team.

Eden Valley Enterprises: You Can’t Play Ball in a Skirt! (Cleveland, OH, USA) March 16, 2027
Find out why YOU CAN’T PLAY BALL IN A SKIRT! when the Baseball Heritage Museum and the Cleveland Public Library Hough Branch at 6530 Lexington Ave. in Cleveland presents this first-person character program. This is the 120th Anniversary of Dr. Alta Weiss’ career. Starting in 1907, she began playing professional baseball on a MEN’s team and eventually put herself through medical school with the money she earned. Anne McEvoy is this baseball phenom in this program that is open to the public.
WBSC: Women’s Baseball World Cup (Loves Park, IL, USA) July 19 – 25, 2027
Mark your calendar now for the return of the Women’s Baseball World Cup to the United States. Six teams will compete for the title of World Champion in the historic Rockford, Illinois region at Rivets Stadium. More details to come, but stay tuned to WBSC for updates, rosters, and more!
